Artistes interact with teens at school campuses

Senior students at Vidya Mandir are spending this morning listening to Carnatic music and interacting with young, fulltime musicians.

This is part of the ongoing Outreach Project under the Rhapsody banner that pianist Anil Srinivasan and conductor Sudha Raja and their team are hosting in a few city schools this margazhi season of music.

Anil says the idea is to get the teenagers closer to classical music.

At Vidya Mandir, violinist Shreya Devnath started off with a recital and later, mandolin vidwan U Srinivas was scheduled to play and chat with the community here.

Anil is a busy man. Later this evening he jams with a popular singer at the opening of the international film fest that opens today in the city and runs for about 10 days.
The show is at Sir Mutha Venkata Subba Rao Hall, Chetpet.
